Loaded Nachos

Loaded Nachos

I love nachos and if I see it on a restaurant menu, I will order it for appetizers. Some of them make it well and some are mediocre. The real flavour lies in the taco meat and then the toppings. The freshness of the chips and the toppings matter too! So I figure if I love it so much why not just make it at home. And it was so simple to make!

Like I said the real flavour for the nachos lies in the taco seasoning and so I make mine from scratch. You could obviously just use a store bought one but it is really not hard to make. You probably have all the ingredients in your spice cabinet already. I also do not use a cheese sauce or as some call it nacho sauce. I prefer to use regular cheese that I shred myself because it melts better than the pre-shredded ones. However, if you are pinched for time, feel free to use the pre-shredded cheddar cheese.

Loaded Nachos

As I said, super simple and a huge crowd pleaser! If you want to make this healthier you can make it with ground chicken too. You could add guacamole and usually we are all over our avocados but they aren’t ripe enough and we didn’t really miss it much. I hope you guys try this the next time you have a party or a movie night. It is delicious!!
